Free range reading. Whatever, whenever.
Too bad. Especially when you see that the article was written almost 2 years ago.I still like it though. Grunt.
Yep, was trying not to dwell on that! lolI'd never heard the term, though, so I still feel glowy and unique. That's what it's really all about.
Maybe you can swipe the term, Andi.
It's officially swiped, in my pocket, and keeping me warm and fuzzy at night.
Oh, I tried it out on Dave tonight. He just bought a Tom Clancy book for work reading, so I said 'Are you reading your Dick Lit tonight??' he says 'What!!' so I say 'You know, your new book.' laughter breaks out and he says 'No comment on that term.'. I then proceeded to explain chick/dick lit/flick and he says' Uh huh yea ok.' My guess it didn't fly??? I will continue to occasionally surprise him with the term!! I think that I might just have some fun with this one!!
I like the idea, but dick lit sounds a little too insulting. You know that dick is slang for timewasting as in "dicking around"? Of at least it is over here.Course cock lit sounds a bit too porno to cover Tom Clancy-like books.(did you change the comments settings?)
LOL, Val! DAve seems too easygoing to really drag out the fun, but keep surprising him. :oD
Fence,We do occasiasionally say "dicking around" and such over here, but mostly it's just penis-slang. Cock is a big much, I agree. :o)Haven't changed the comments settings except to disallow anonymous posts. Having troubles?
Not troubles, (apart from my typos but that isn't anyone else's fault), it is just that I have to log in using my blogger account, which I don't really use any more. No biggie though seeing as I've got a blogger account.
"Cock is a big much..."Slip of the tongue, so to speak?
Oooh, bad time for a typo. Kinda reminds me of the time I said "kiss on the hose" when I reall meant to type "nose". Oopsy!
Ugg, another typo. The laptop screen is getting worse!
