New horizons.....

I will be doing something I've never done tonight.....going to MacHenry's pub in Ft. Worth to see The Rogues. Gypsy Poet, Wenchie, and I will be rockin' out to bagpipes all night, y'all. Now what the hell to wear? I have nary a bit of plaid in my wardrobe. I was just reading the bios on the guys and one went to Carnegie Mellon and one got a Master's at Yale. Holy shit. *bows down to the braininess* AND they're in kilts!!! That's a bunch of hot fun.

Listening: "Buttons"...Pussycat Dolls. Shut up. I have to have something to get me goin' in the morning. The lead "singer" could probably be my new girl-crush.

Edit: Token meerkat pic of the day.

  1. Woo! Did I tell you Wenchie's brother is going, too? He apparently told their mom that he'd like to go instead of telling us. [facepalm] I have no idea why that boy can't just speak up when he wants to hang out with us. :p

The last time they were at MacHenry's, we ended up talking Jung with Jeremy, the tall piper. Good times. :D

  2. Thank you, I know have "Dontcha wish your girlfriend was hot like me" in my head. Thank you.

As for the Roguetrip, that sounds like SO much fun! I'm incredibly jealous. And they sound way hot! I just loves me some men in kilts!

  4. GP, you told me. I meant to put him in the lineup in this post, but I forgot thanks to a bitchin' migraine I was sporting this morning. He's intimidated by us, that's all. Whahahah!

Holy God, a Jung convo! I'm so stoked.

Heatheroo, no problem! I love to put bad songs in people's heads. I don't feel so alone that way. I've been doing this sort of supermodel/pony walk around the house this morning with this gawdawful "Buttons" song in my head.

  5. Oh, and GP, the Disco Darcy icon is love. It throws me into riotous laughter every time I see it.

  6. Where can one find a good kilt store?

  7. J,

Wal-Mart just started carrying kilts, along with claymores and trebuchets. They're getting to be pretty cultural over there.

  8. Jeremy, I was going to say I haven't the foggiest idea but I'd find out from one of the Rogues tonight, but apparently Wally-World really does carry everything. Thanks for the heads up, C-rock. I'll have to go peruse the saris soon.

  9. Mmm, men in kilts. Mmmm.

The thing I don't get about the Pussycat Dolls is how those 5 [everyone but the lead chick] were the hottest ones out of the original 12. Baffling. The redhead looks like a tranny who's been around the block a few times, that one blonde has a massive mouth and scrunched up face...it bothers me.

    I need a hobby.

  10. You know, I have to admit that the guys look pretty hot in the kilts. Yall, it is confirmed, there has been a death in the family. My cat Hallow's Eve-Hal for short, has gone to the big mattress in the sky. He was my familiar, not a very good one, but there you have it. Anyway, A-Train, Gypsy Poet, and Wenchie, would it be too much trouble to lift a pint or two and ask the guys in plaid to play a dirge in honor of my cat. Do they play the bagpipes? Amazing Grace on the pipes will do.

  11. Hey--I gave you a picture of me in a tutu. I draw the line at kilts...

  12. Have fun. You're not planning to do anything mischievous with those kilts, are you?

  13. Heather, I don't see how those were the hottest pussycats either. The tranny idea is spot on. I thought of them watching TransAmerica this afternoon.

AWwww, Fem. They did indeed play something dirgey, so we'll call it an ode to Hal.

Come on, Os. Certainly the King of HNT isn't afraid of a kilt.

X, I wasn't, but then I got there, met a very fine kilt, and had mad urges. But that's a post better left for morning.
