So tired that I can't sleep....

Don't wanna go back to work tomorrow. Do. Not. Wanna.

The good stuff:
  • I have an office with E.
  • I get a faculty parking sticker.
  • I'm a little over half done with this degree.
  • I'm off on Tuesdays and Thursdays (sorta).

The shitty stuff:

  • I'm gonna be really busy.
  • I have 15 books staring at me, all primed to be used for thesis writing.
  • My comps are coming up unbelievably fast (like in September).
  • I'm gonna be REALLY busy.

Orientation is tomorrow at 9am. Gotta go pretend to sleep.

  3. Nothing as great as the faculty sticker, unless it's the feeling of parking in the faculty lot, and watching those students walking 3 blocks or more to class!

  7. Fem, I don't feel the power yet, since it's not in my hands. But I will! I had an inside track on the hours since I was being talked to about that 2nd section of 101. And the inside track on hours from E and J.

    As for the following--read others' blogs. Comment on others' blogs. They will come.

    Suzz, "comps" here are not a huge deal. The prospect grates on the nerves for sure, but the reading list isn't as long as most places. My comps will basically be a take-home test/essay to help stir up ideas for my thesis proposal. I'll write and defend the proposal this semester and finish and defend the thesis in the Spring.
