Life at the mo'

Here's what I'm up to:

  • Taking comps next week, which means cramming this week.
  • Grading 2 sections' worth of essays (46)
  • Trying to keep away that fucking yowly cat (...but no more. He was caught this morning).
  • Fielding e-mails from 3 match.com guys. GB turns out to be just as adorable as expected. Sports Guy is a new one, and he's a bit lurchy. Barrister is a 6'8" British lawyer living in Big D with a DELIGHTFUL sense of humor.
  • Sleeping. When I can.

Love you all. Smoochies!

OH, and I finished The Book Thief. It is quite possibly the saddest book I've ever read. It made me cry at least five times, but it was SO good.

  5. I have to say, British guys tend to be much more fun when it comes to emails and phone calls. In person they can go either way, but they definitely tend to have a better sense of wordplay.

Enjoy, and yes, a bucket of cold water will pretty much destroy any amourous intentions on the part of your neighborhood tomcat.

  6. Lurchy? Well, there's one way to find out. Get his cell number, call him up, and see if he answers, "You rang?"

  9. Cold, the cat was caught in a very humane trap and sent along to the SPCA to find a new family to yowl at. He was a neighborhood stray.

LE, too late! He's off to the SPCA.

    Thanks, Heather!

Lulu, that is SO true! He has a way with words that I relish. Can't wait to really talk to him. I'll eat up the accent, I'm sure.

LOL, X. He's not quite tall enough, nor is he deep-voiced enough. But still a lurcher.

Os, I'm in a good mood! I get to write a 17-page response to a single question later this week. Who wouldn't be excited about that?

AMS, yes I would! They're on order as we speak.
