What I did yesterday....

I could be the last person on the planet, but I finally saw Shaun of the Dead. In fact, I think I watched it the better part of three times yesterday (was on Comedy Central). Shaun (Simon Pegg) could very well be my new celeb-crush (along with a new'ish fixation on Ed Norton). Fun movie.

Other than that, didn't do a whole lot yesterday except read a book for Adolescent Lit. The book: Song of the Magdalene, by Donna Jo Napoli. I was iffy about it at first, but in the end I liked it. Kinda reminded me of The Red Tent--Biblical historical fiction and all.

Gotta go teach. I hope you all had a nice pre-Halloween weekend.

The proposal still isn't done. It hates me.

Listening: "Voice Inside My Head"...Dixie Chicks

  1. best. movie. ever.

seriously, i watch it at least once a week.

"No, it's not. It's fucking Sunday. And I've got to go to fucking work in four fucking hours 'cos every other fucker in my fucking department is fucking ill! Now can you see why I'm SO FUCKING ANGRY?"

Yay, now you will get it when I say Gaaayy.....

  2. WONDERFUL movie.....

    Alex even liked it.

  3. Andi,
I, too, was just introduced to this movie not too long ago and I loved it! I am glad you enjoyed it...
And I have been in love with Ed Norton ever since I saw "American History X"...great actor and not too bad on the eyes either :0)

  4. You know, everytime someone writes a post that says "I must be the last person in the world to ever" it is inevitable that I have never.

Never seen Shaun of the Dead!

  5. I, too, have missed this classic... Sounds like I need to check it out.

Do we get to see any pics??

  6. Proposals and theses hate everybody. So, kick their ass.

  7. You're not the last person because I haven't seen it (surprise, surprise!)

Song of the Magdalene. Eh. I really want to read for fun.

  8. Cold, it really is. I freakin' loved it and could watch it over and over (as evidenced by the multiple looks this weekend). Your ability to quote astounds me!

Amanda, isn't it though? I *heart* it.

Kim, I haven't seen American History X yet, but all the boys I work with love it. I feel sure I would love it for a completely different reason, though! lol

LOL, Marg! The same thing usually happens to me. Definitely see Shaun of the Dead--fabulous zombie movie spoof.

Os, you definitely need to watch it. I think you'd like it. And the pic is there for ya. Enjoy!

X, I'm tryin' my best. It's much better since I ditched the old draft and started over.

E., I liked it in the end. It reminded me of The Red Tent which I read several years ago and liked. While it was a 5-star read, bit was ok. I wanna read The New York Trilogy and that's really it right now!

  9. The Boy emails the quotes to me all day long.

  10. i LOVE LOVE LOVE Shaun of the Dead. I think I wasn't expecting to love it that much that when I did see it I was just so pleasently surprised. Glad you liked it too. I had no doubt that you wouldn't!

Thanks for taking the time to comment! Blogger has been a beast lately, so I hope you do not have any troubles leaving your thoughts.
