And did I mention?

Oh yes. Bring on February 10th. I feel a campaign contribution coming on.

Listening: "Easy Silence"...Dixie Chicks

Edit: I've intended to add it for a while, but now under the "Snark" dropbox on the sidebar, a link to the website, "Sweet Jesus, I Hate Bill O'Reilly." They have a MySpace, too!

  1. Oh, I love Newshound: We Watch Fox News So You Don't Have To. Hey, I see that Obama announce his intent on forming an exploratory committee whoohoo! If you get on Crooks and Liars 1-16-07 they had a link to a video he did about his intentions. Perhaps your readers may want to view it.

  3. I'm kind of mixed about him running. I love him, but he really hasn't had a lot of experience. I wish he were a little older and a little more seasoned. However, I don't love Hillary or Edwards as candidates either.

  4. Why doesn't anyone like Hillary? I am curious and would like to hear people's input on her. As for Obama, yes, he is young, and it is difficult to put a wise head on a young body, but can it get any worse than what we have now?

  5. I don't really have a problem with his age or experience. He was in state govt for 7 years, in the US Senate for a couple of years now. And from what I've read as of late about his experience and experience in general--there doesn't seem to be much correlation between level of experience and effectiveness of a President. And some see his inexperience as a virtue--less time to get floppily political--to compromise and "play the game" as it were.

As for Hillary, I don't have a problem with her. I think she strikes people as more a "typical politician" that's been wishy-washy on some issues, but she's more seasoned. I'd be fine with either of them charging for the Presidency. And if Barack doesn't get the nomination this time, I hope he'll at least be taken along as Vice Presidential nominee. That would certainly squelch the issue of experience and he'd be a hell of a candidate in the coming years.

  6. I like Hiilery, just not as a cadidate because a lot of people HATE her and I don't think she can win because she's too polarizing.

It isn't that Obama is young, Clinton was young, but Obama has no executive experience. I wish Obama had run for Gov instead of Blaggo. Gov is the traditional pre-President job 4 of the past 5 Presidents were former Govs (plus I hate Blaggo).

Have you heard the Chris Rock thing about an African American VP? His theory is that there will never be one, because if there were, some homeboy would go out and shoot the President. Seriously, VP is a crap job.

  7. Hey Andi! And yes, I have Obama for President up on my blog as well!! I'm excited! It's going to be a long haul, but I think this man is the Real Deal!

And it's not that I hate Hillary. I just think she is trying to hard to soften her image and appear middle of the road. This country doesn't need middle of the road right now. They need someone to fight the good fight for us, the American people!!

  8. Think he could've made it to governor, Lu? Would've definitely been a feather in his cap. And LOL at Chris Rock! He cracks me up. I haven't heard that one.

Amen, Stephanie! We should start our own campaign camps. lol
