We have a winner!

AMAZING!!!! I have to say, I did not have high hopes for the film version of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix because it was my least favorite book. However, my least favorite book is now my favorite movie of the series thus far.

Run, don't walk, to see it right now!

Tomorrow I'll be purchasing a paperback copy of Half-Blood Prince to re-read before the release of the final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on the 21st.

  1. You know half the people I know loved it and the other half not so much. I don't know what to think, so I'll just see for myself;-)

  2. I liked it. A little slow in some parts. I have to say that I am a little tired of the dark angsty stuff and will be glad when that stage is over. However, I think going back to the magic stuff is what saved it for me--more magic I say! Overall, I liked it and hubby thought that the wizard fight was excellent and what a wizard fight should look like.
On another note, Sassypants, I am afraid that I have some disturbing news...the Yoda shrine has been desecrated. Read my post to find out details. TTFN

I completely agree. It was a pretty good film.

Brooke and I are driving to Bookpeople in Austin for a huge book release party. Stoked!

  4. Thanks for the recommendation. I may take my kids to see it this weekend. It'll be a way to get them (and me) away from renovation hell for a while.

  5. Kristy, good idea! Lemme know your thoughts!

Fem, I think the angst is here to stay for the rest of the series. I liked this one though. Angsty, but they did a good job handling Harry's anger issues which I thought were handled somewhat poorly in Book 5 (thus the reason it's my least favorite book). Going to check out your Yoda details. I'm apalled by desecration!

Rev, you bastard. I'm totally jealous. I've never been to BookPeople on a regular day, much less a Harry Potter extravaganza evening. Take pictures.

Good idea, Johnny. This movie is the perfect escape.
