RAT - Halfway Through Hour 3

No more progress since Hour 1! Call me slacker. Our lunch turned into a longer-than-expected affair because there's lots of beach traffic out today and our little town is the last rest stop on the interstate before the beach. We opted for a pizza buffet for lunch, and a really cold salad was the perfect fix for this 101 degree heat.

Without further ado, I'm going back to The Shadows of Ghadames.

  1. I love that you're calling the read-a-thon RAT, lol. Except I have a huge fear of rats (in my intro to psych class, we had to do a lab training a computer simulated rat, and I was almost in tears it grossed me out/frightened me so much, lol), so I will not be copying you!

And no one who joins the read-a-thon when moving on Wednesday is a slacker. :p

  2. It's really hard to get to the actual reading part of this challenge LOL. But hey, you are by the beach so I still envy you. I say The Book Of Lost Things on your sidebar. I read it last year and enjoyed it. Good luck to you!

  3. LOL, Eva, I'm just too darn lazy to type Read-a-Thon every time! And I don't blame you for being grossed out by the lab training...even if it was simulated! My college roomie was pre-med and she had to keep her dissection rat in our fridge. EEWWW!!!

Ice, isn't it, though? So much fun stuff going on. I just finished my first book, so yay for that! Glad you liked Book of Lost Things. I'll probably pick it up later today or tonight when I have fewer distractions.

  4. 101 degrees! Our high today is predicted to be 82, which usually means it'll be 85 to 87 because it's always hotter than they claim it'll be. But it is never 101 here!

  5. That is NASTY. I don't think I woul dhave ever forgiven a roommate for that!! (I did have a really weird roomie who pounded raw chicken with her home improvement hammer on our bare kitchen table, but we won't talk about that)
