Christmas Ate My Brain

Good (early) morning, my friends. Sorry to be posting after the fact, but like many others, Christmas ate my brain! The festivities started on Thursday and roll straight through today, so I'm just stealing this little snatch of time to see if you all survived.

I have to say, it's been a really good holiday season for me. It was off to a slow start, but these last few days have been filled with family time, treats to eat, books, great movies, and lots and lots of excited Greyson playing with new toys!!!

And see how I mentioned books up there in the list of goodness? Check this out...

Yeah, baby!!! I'll be back tomorrow with a review of my new Nook Simple Touch Reader, and you'll see a review of the first book I read on it coming up in a day or two. For now, I hope you're all recovering nicely, and if you have a little further to go with your Christmas celebrations, I hope it all goes smoothly for you!

  5. I've read that's the best dedicated eReader made, so I'll be curious to see what you think of it. I'm glad you had a great Christmas!

  6. Oooh hope you like your Simple Touch. I had a 1st edition nook and quickly bought one for The Hubster. It's great for the two of us to be able to share an ebook library. In the past couple of months I've purchased a Simple Touch for myself and I love it. I gave my 1st edition to my Sister-in-Law - it'll give her a chance to see if an e-reader is a good option for her before spending money on one. Last week we took advantage of B&N's trade in offer and upgraded The Hubster's 1st edition to a Simple Touch - he likes it a lot too. It's much more intuitive than the 1st edition. Hope you like yours.

We're definitely nook fans in our family.

  13. Happy post-Christmas joy! I hope you're loving the new Nook. The Mr. and I bought each Kindle Fires pre-Thanksgiving, and I adore mine (and need to write a review--eek!)

  16. Thanks, Anna!

LOL, Allie! I haven't named it yet, but I'm leaning toward something paying homage to Sarah Waters.

Natasha, the first book read was Sugar in My Bowl (for you!). I'm now almost done with The Sense of an Ending. The next book may be paper since I got a couple of new gems the last few days. :)

  17. Thanks, Care!

Carrie, you do need to write a review of your Fire. A good friend of mine from work bought one for himself and one for his girlfriend, and so far they like them very much.

Olduvai, it's HEAVENLY so far. Just wonderful.

LOL, Trisha! Nothing wrong with a little ganking. My mom has expressed some interest in that as well.
