So awesome! Congrats!!!
Woot! Double like!!
Awesome!(and how did I miss that post?)
Well, look at you and your bad self! Congrats!
CONGRATULATIONS!!! Well deserved. Honestly, that post was very eye-opening. I thought the ARC was something I coveted-- it would mean that I "made it" in book blogging. But what does that even MEAN anyway?! My blog isn't for corporate recognition, it's for me to share my life and thoughts with the world. ARC or waiting for it like the rest of you bums ;) I kid, I kid.Lady, that post makes me want to give you a real-life HIGH FIVE. So well done.
Thanks, everyone!!! I appreciate the congrats and cheers. I am pretty proud that I spouted off and wrote that post. :D
Rebecca, I still get excited about ARCs and I think they're cool. They allow me to read some books I wouldn't have otherwise because of knowledge or finances, quite honestly. BUT--the big but!--comes in when pubs get too pushy or expect bloggers to work (for free!) on their terms. And it seems that some of the terms have taken a step over into the ridiculous. After seven years of blogging, too, I think I just appreciate a lack of deadlines a lot more. Blogging, for me, should always be fun and about sharing books with others first and foremost.
Yeehaw! Rock on, girl! That is a great post.
