This is one of those classics that I always forget how darn good it is until I make myself get into it (Jane Eyre's another). Fun! And I might just have to rent the movie, too...mmm, eye candy...
Jen, eye candy is always a good thing! I've never seen the film version, but I'm sure I'll have to check it out when we're done. Maybe we'll have a watch-along!
The Count is one of my all-time favorite books. I'm always happy for an excuse to reread it, so I'll join in. Also, my husband has forbidden me to join in on the Shine-along because he thinks it's a bad idea to self-induce nightmares. Haha. So, there you go. ;)
Yayyy, Nancy! I'm tickled you'll be joining us! And he's probably right about the Shine-along. I last read that book when I was 15 and I do seem to remember it striking me as less scary than some of King's other stuff.
I am SO tempted by this one, but I'm not sure I can read the whole thing in one month... I did love it as a kid though and have been meaning to re-read it for ages. I still have 24 hours to decide, what to do???

I just read this one in August. It's wonderful, enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you enjoyed it, Melissa! I'm looking forward to it!
DeleteYay! So excited to read this with you. I love it.
ReplyDeleteHeather, me too! I think I'm going audio on this one -- and maybe some physical reading as well. I already like Dantes, and I just met him!

DeleteI have never read this! And I have never done a read-a-long. Maybe this is a good place to start.
ReplyDeleteAngela!!!! I hope you'll join us. Read-alongs are super fun.

DeleteTentatively "count" me in! I'll most likely do it! I just need to make sure I can get a hold of the book AND see what your schedule is for reading! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat, Rebecca! We're going really loose on this one. We'll do a check-in mid-way and then a final post over at The Estella Society.

ReplyDeleteI'm not up for the readalong but will definitely be following all from a distance. Coincidentally my teenage son just started reading the book!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite books, Andi! I will be reading along with you. Will there be a sign-up?
ReplyDeleteNevermind, I see it! It did not show up on my Reader. :( But I am making my post right now!
