Because Bulleted Randomness

  • I missed my local half-price meat sale. This caused me distress.
  • Liquid bandage is THE BEST thing for wintry, cracked fingers. Wish I could dip both hands and keep 'em coated until March.
  • 60ish days 'til the wedding! Holy crap!
  • I have a weekend of nothing-in-particular-to-do. That means I should grade, but I will probably read.
  • Since I'll be a nut in February and March, Heather and I are working on the next Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-Thon early!
  • Books.
That is all.

  1. We are in the same place weekend-wise. I have a four day weekend (thanks to my state's love for clinging to it's racist past) and "nothing" to do, so I'm totally going to read read read and (maybe) get ahead on the blog. Yayyyy wedding!

    1. I LOLed and shook my head at Lee-Jackson Day when I saw that earlier this morning. So weird. I think I might do some blogginess myself.

  2. I really, really, really want to finally do a 24-hour read-a-thon! I've lived vicariously through other folks for years but never made the time to actually participate. THIS should be my year. No wedding stuff (also, I want to hear about your wedding stuff!!); no big weekend commitments; finally some time to relax. Need to get it on the calendar!

    1. I want you to do it, too! And there's a wedding post scheduled for tomorrow, as a matter of fact. Lots of planning/doing going on as we get closer!

  3. Ok, YOU'RE getting married in 60 days? I missed this. I love readathon, though I rarely get to fully participate. Girl can dream!! I've got a wrestling meet to watch(lord help my nose) and I always take my nook or ipad with me. I'd like to do some work on my blog. could I hire you to help with with blogger? I'm so inept...technically.

    1. Anita, that's right! Very excited, but SO MUCH TO DO! Good luck with that wrestling meet! I hope you have some good reading to keep you company. And no need to hire me. I'd be glad to help!

  4. Yes, I would pick reading over grading (or writing essays) too! Half-price meat?! I wish a store out here would do that! I really need to check out your wedding website.

    1. Right? I'll have to grade something or I'll hate myself later. But maybe just a little grading. lol

  8. Wow, 60 days! Cool! I like the bullets. I'm too tired to even write that much, at the moment. Think I'll go lie down and hope a cat will climb on top of me to keep me warm.

    1. 60 days is SO FEW days! lol And thank you. The bullets are pure laziness but I'm ok with it.

  9. You mean that you usually HAVE a half-price meat sale? I am so jealous! I don't have anything like that! I am way more vegetarian than my inclination just because meat is so expensive.

    1. Yep! There's a chain of grocery stores here (Brookshire's) that does a buy one/get one for a penny sale periodically and it is SO GOOD. And I missed it. Damn!

  11. My weekend entails coaching some basketball (it's going to be chaos with a bunch of 8-10 year olds!), reading, and SHERLOCK!!!!!

    1. Haha! I bet that basketball is a lot of fun to watch even if the coaching/game is chaos. :) And SHERLOCK! Yay!

  13. First things, WEDDING! Makes me happy. Plus your dress is gorgeous and you are gorgeous in it. Secondly, let me know if I can help with Dewey's in any way. Third, liquid bandage for cracked hands? Let me go get that now. My hands look like they haven't seen moisture in months though I layer on lotion like I own a lotion factory.

  14. I have managed to get this far into the winter without cracks but one is wanting to get started. Thanks for reminding me to pick up some liquid bandage before it's too late!
