Happy Dance: Upcoming Events!

The are always some crazy-good events on the horizon, and March is no exception.

The #Estellagram March photo-a-day theme is "glass!" Everyone seemed to have a good time with "love" in February, so we'll see how this one shakes out! Get your thinking caps on for 31 days of glass.

Wendy from Wensend and Rory from Fourth Street Review are hosting King's March...a month devoted to Stephen King reading. With the wedding coming up, I'm keeping my goals realistic. I'm shooting for one novella from Full Dark, No Stars

Cedar Station is holding March Madness, a March reading marathon! I probably won't be able to do much mad reading until the latter half of the month, but it still looks fun!

And just yesterday I was vowing to read SOMETHING with SOMEONE. This is a downfall of mine. OH! I will be read The House Girl, by Tara Conklin, with Fellowship of the Worms

Do you have any reading event plans for the month?

  1. Thanks for this! I'm going to do the March Madness event since I plan on reading the books nominated for a Nebula Award.

  3. I'm also going for King's March. I also want to stay realistic and not take on one of Stephen King's chunksters. I want something small that will fit in my purse. Any suggestions?

    1. I always recommend his novellas. I loved "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption." It's quite different from the film adaptation. It's still part of a book with four novellas included, so it's still pretty chunky, but that story in particular is manageable.

  4. I want to read something with someone in March! But March is going to be crazy! And awesome! I have a few King's laying around (in my computer), I can probably fit one in. And we were going to read The House Girl together anyway, so I'll go ahead and start it. I can read it in Texas too! Woot!

    1. I'm planning to read The House Girl on the honeymoon. We'll be chilling in the Texas hill country drinking wine, so it sounds perfect for that.

  7. I think I might actually stop reading in March! LOL! I've been reading SO much in February that I've been feeling like I've been ignoring everything else--I've got this Sunday's Salon post drafted about this very topic. Though I will be looking forward to whatever we pick for bookclub. I'll be curious about The House Girl. I ALMOST picked it up on Kindle Daily Deal but passed it up.

  10. Glass will be interesting! I am not sure how photo challenges and me will go in March. We are going to the U.S. for a week and the rates are ridiculous for my phone!

  11. My only reading plans for March are to read more books on my shelves since I'm signed up for The TBR Triple Dog Dare and it's not on for much longer. One of the books I'm planning to read is the House Girl! I like your plan for reading it! I hope we all enjoy it. March Madness intrigues me, too. I might check it out.
March sounds like a great month for you especially with your wedding and honeymoon coming...yay! Happy Reading, in the meantime Andi

  12. Love the glass theme! I had no idea about the King readathon, so I'm going to have to get on that!

  13. Hmmm, maybe I should join the King's March since I've put 11/22/63 on hold (on my NOOK) for far too long. Time to get back to it!

  14. Some great events here! I don't have a smartphone, so I'll have to pass on the photography event, but I'm excited to read The House Girl and some Stephen King this month :)
