TSS: Sunday Stuff

Check out the Facebook group

Happy Sunday, y'all!

Time: // 12:37 p.m.
The scene: // Parked in the living room recliner, in my jammies, under a blanket,  with a graphic novel at hand.
This week: // We had three big events at the university that required lots of PR coverage. Greyson and the dogs have decided to wake me up for something every night this past week, which led to some insomnia. Now I basically feel like I've been hit by a truck! I slept something like 12 hours last night, and I feel like my head is a gigantic hot air balloon. A nap is in order soon.

Currently reading: // I'm reading An Age of License, by Lucy Knisley, and I absolutely love it. I'm also still chugging through All the Light We Cannot See. I need to start Geek Love, by Katherine Dunn, for the Estella Society #GeekLoveRAL!
On my nightstand: // My e-reader, full of comics.
Weirdness: // This photo on Instagram got shared or highlighted or something somewhere. It's over 230 likes...many of which are from people I don't know! I'll talk a little about this makeup haul in my next Estella Sparkles post. I definitely already have some favorites.

Now I’m off to: // Sleep!

    1. I ended up passing on the nap in hopes of sleeping the night through. It worked! Until 3:45 when Greyson wanted to cuddle. But by then I'd already had quite a bit of good sleep! :)

  2. Snuggled up under a blanket in jammies sounds perfect!
And I love Benefit make-up, I bought lots in full size for my wedding, but it's just too expensive to repurchase. I love the coralista blusher & the high beam highlighter.

    1. It was! I'm hoping I can zero in on the Benefit products I REALLY like and only buy those in full size. So far I'm a huge fan of High Beam and Ooh La Lift! It does wonders for brightening my under eye area.

  4. I also took a nap this afternoon so you're in good company even though I slept pretty well last night. Sometimes life just can be exhausting, especially it sounds like it has been for you lately. Hope it gets less exhausting this week. Fingers crossed.

    1. Totally exhausting. This week will be (I hope) a bit more leveled out and less chaos.

  5. I hope you get some good sleep/nap soon! That would tire me out too. An Age of License sounds very interesting - I will have to check it out!

    1. Thank you! Last night was pretty darn good sleep. I can't complain! An Age of License was lovely! I still prefer Relish overall, but Lucy Knisley is always good.

  6. Jammies, comics, blankets.
Sounds like the perfect cure for the truck-hit brain and body!
Hope you bounce back! Love your make up posts even though I hardly wear any. They are fun to read.

    1. Amen sister! I'm glad you like the makeup posts even though you're not a makeup wearer very often! I think it's great fun to play with. hehe

  7. I should have taken a nap today but oh well. And, I'm off to see if my library has An Age of License. Have really enjoyed Lucy Knisley's books!

  8. Hope this week is kind to you! With lots of sleep and a bit more relaxing. I have a ton of comics out from the library right now and won't get to them all, but Age of License is one of them so I'll make sure it stays in my "must read" stack!

  9. I've been holding off on the new Knisley until I catch up with some comics I already own... so glad to know it's good.

    1. I ended up passing on the nap because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to sleep through the night. Boo! Luckily, it worked. I did sleep through the night. lol

  11. Isn't it funny how one needs a nap after getting tons of sleep? Hope it helped babe!

I am 37 years old and have never been interested in makeup. Until now. I even looked up ColourPop the other day! ::gasp::

    1. Right?? I felt hungover, which I unfortunately was not! lol Yayyyy for makeup in our 30s! SHUT UP re: ColourPop! They're coming out with a line of blushes I'm definitely going to need.

  13. I should have taken a nap but I did not. Now, as I sit here Monday morning, I already know it is going to be a long-ass week. Sigh.

I went shopping online at Ulta again. This new-found love affair with make-up is not so good for my wallet, even though I feel much more confident and pretty when I go outside these days!

    1. Long ass week indeed.

GO YOU! What did you buy this time? Inquiring minds (who are currently not shopping for makeup) need to know! So glad you feel confident and pretty! You are LOTS of both!

    2. Thanks, Andi! I stuck with lip stains and glosses this time around. I will soon have more than I will ever wear, but I like having options. Or, at least, that is what I tell myself.

  14. Ooh, so many pretty things!

Glad I wasn't the only one who needed some extra sleep this weekend... I think I took three or four naps, all things told. With the weather New England has been having, I'm pretty sure we need to rethink human hibernation...

    1. Texas has been beautiful! Weather almost like spring or early summer, but yesterday I was SO not feeling it. I stayed indoors and hibernated. lol

  17. I always have great intentions of napping on the weekend, but by the time I get serious about doing so, it's close to 4:00 and I've always sworn off napping after 3:00. Just like drinking coffee after 3:00, I can't sleep later that night. So... maybe next weekend I should set a timer at 2:00 and curl up in my bed with a book and catch some zzzzs. :)

Hope you're feeling 100% today. Only 4 more day until the weekend. ;)
