Bout of Books 20 and Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows GIVEAWAY!

Bout of Books
I really need a push to focus and read, so I'm doing Bout of Books 20.  Follow me on Twitter or Instagram for more updates throughout the week.

TBR you ask? Here's my best guess:

  • Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows by Balli Kaur Jaswal
  • Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur
  • Felicity by Mary Oliver (re-read)
  • Seating Arrangements by Maggie Shipstead
  • Bobcat and Other Stories by Rebecca Lee
  • Operating Instructions by Anne Lamott
  • Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit by Jeanette Winterson
  • The Duchess War by Courtney Milan

I'm also running a giveaway. I won a copy of EROTIC STORIES FOR PUNJABI WINDOWS during 24in48 Readathon, and the publisher sent me two copies, so after Bout of Books, I'll be passing the extra along to one of you!

  2. I've been in a mini slump, too, and am hoping to bust through it with this round of Bout of Books.

I love the look of your TBR pile. Courtney Milan does some fantastic work (I really enjoyed The Duchess War) and I'm a huge fan of Mary Oliver.

Good luck with your reading this week!

    1. I hope it works for you (and me). This is my first time reading Milan, and it's already so much fun. Mary Oliver will be wonderful when I feel like I'm not making progress (midweek, usually).

      Good luck to you!

  3. I feel like I keep seeing Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit popping up lately, and reminding me that I haven't read it yet! Maybe hearing your thoughts will finally push me to get around to it! I have read some of Milk and Honey and it packs quite the emotional punch - I had to put it down for a bit. Definitely worth the hype. Good luck with Bout of Books! Happy reading!

    1. Oranges is wonderful so far, I just need a little push to sit with it a bit longer and dig in a bit more. This week sounds like THE week.

Now I'm even more excited about Milk and Honey. I feel like a book hasn't hit me emotionally in too long. The last one was Hunger (on audio) a couple of months ago.

  5. oh, what a fabulously fun TBR! I read Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows earlier this summer -- fast, fluffy read with a little oomph so you don't get tooth decay. Whatever you pick up to start, I hope you tear through it!

    1. Yesssss! Punjabi Widows sounds perfect! Last night I picked up Bobcat and Other Stories for a little taste testing, and WHOA THAT FIRST STORY. I think I'll start there. I read a few pages of Widows and I really liked the tone, so that might be next.
