#AMonthofFaves: Top 10 Goals or Resolutions

Hey hey hey! Today is the next-to-last day of #AMonthofFaves, and I'm sad to see it go. It's been kind of nice to have a schedule of topics laid out and not have to think too much in planning ahead. I can definitely say that this experience has given my blogging mojo a huuuuge boost, for which I'm very very thankful.

A big thank you to Tanya Patrice who masterminded this whole thing, and to Tamara for co-hosting!

Without further ado....goals for 2015!

I'm keeping it simple this year, for sure. These aren't so much finite goals as things I'd like to continue from this year...
  • Keep obligations to a minimum
  • Listen to my reading moods
  • Don't be afraid to ditch a book if it's not working
  • More comics
  • More diverse reading
  • Read from the TBR
Ok, not ten, but all worthy goals, yes? What about yours?

  1. More diverse reading and reading from my TBR are two of my resolutions for next year, too! The obligations - that is definitely going on my list. I did the DNF thing this year without making myself feel guilty and I swear my reading life suffered so much less for it. I hope you find your reading mojo wanes a little less once you ditch and forget!

  2. "Don't be afraid to ditch a book if it's not working."

That was my biggest goal in 2014 - and not just to be not afraid, but to specifically ditch anything that was just okay. I didn't want to fill my time with just okay books. I think that's really contributed to my reading happiness this year.

  4. Thanks to all of you for organizing this event....I've had so much fun with it and these posts have done pretty well page views wise for me also! I like your keep obligations to a minimum and try to DNF more books that aren't working...I have variations of those on my list as well!

  5. Definitely all worthy goals. I loved the "keep obligations to a minimum goal". I also am planning to stick to my TBR this year. I really need to catch up on my books.

  6. Ditching is going to be one of my biggest goals next year, too. I don't do it nearly enough and it always makes me feel better when I do!

  7. Tackle my TBR stacks.
    Re-read one favorite each month.
    Keep up with my reviews!

  9. Definitely worthy goals! I got a little better about reading from my TBR this year, but I think I can do better still, and when it comes to my mammoth TBR, not being afraid to ditch a book that isn't working is a total must.

Thanks so much for co-hosting this event this month. I agree that it's been great for my blogging mojo (in a month that is generally *horrible* for blogging mojo) and equally great for discovering some excellent new-to-me bloggers.

  11. I am so happy to see that basically all of us want to read more diversely and ditch the guilt of not finishing or not loving something. Have a wonderful 2015 and keep being this awesome Andi!!!

  12. I'm all for keeping it simple. I'm just going to carry over my 2014 goals--they were vague enough to last for a couple of years.

  15. More comics and graphic novels made my list of bookish goals too! Right after "More Classics." I like to be well-rounded. :) Happy New Year!

  19. Your first and last one are goals for me! I want to keep a minimum of reviews I commit to and read mostly from my TBR!

  20. More diverse reading...does that mean more literature in translation? That has been my favorite part of the reading I did in 2014. I'm glad how you remind me, us all actually, mso read what we want, when we want. It's a good motto which II sometimes forget.

  21. Keeping it simple: Reading what I want, just like last year.

  22. Great goals! I'd also like to do more mood reading, read more diversely, and read more books from my TBR pile.

  23. Listen to my reading moods... I love that! I always find myself enjoying a book more if I pick because of mood instead of obligation.

  24. Keeping obligations to a minimum and listening to my reading moods are on my list, too. I'm planning on reading more classics and old stuff this year, and perhaps a few graphic novels. They always seem so appealing when bloggers write about them, but I always forget to browse them when I'm in the library.

  25. Definitely great goals - I need to do a better job on most of them, too.
